I found two great websites today—LibertarianPapers.org and LibertarianChristians.com. The first is a brand new online peer-reviewed journal, and based on the first seven offerings, it looks like it's going to be a great resource. The fact that it's licensed with a Creative Commons Attribution license makes it even better.
The second is a blog by a libertarian Christian, so naturally I'm intrigued. Turns out that the author wrote a lengthy article defending libertarianism in light of several passages from the Bible, including Romans 13... which is something I've been thinking about a lot lately. So if you're as interested in reading it as I am, take a look at part one and part two of his work.
So much to read, so little time...

I see you really like de Toqueville. I haven't read much more than excerpts of him myself, though I picked up a beautiful copy of Democracy in America at Half-Price Books about a month ago. I hope to go through it this year. I like to write book reviews, you'll see on the site that I've posted a few... :-) Take care!

And yes, Tocqueville is one of my favorites. Reading Democracy in America took ages, because I was taking so many notes (50+ pages!). It's a top-notch work, and it has encouraged me to read more about early American history... a subject I thought I knew but actually don't.
Have you ever read Rothbard's "Conceived in Liberty"? That's another one on my list...
No, but I printed it out from mises.org and I'm hoping to start it soon--I just read The Radicalism of the American Revolution, and it was an eye-opener. Not libertarian, but emphasized the dramatic transformation from quasi-aristocracy to representative democracy, and how the founders didn't like the result. It'll be interesting to see what Rothbard has to say about it.
I think I'll put up a review of Radicalism before too long... should have some time this weekend.
